However, if you are using an iPhone with a Ring/Silent switch on the left side you can use the switch to put your iPhone on vibration or silent mode.
So, here, I will discuss how you can put your iPhone on vibration or silent mode with or without the silent/mute action button.
Use Action Button
You can use the action button on your iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and other iPhones with the action button to put your iPhone on vibration or silent mode. Here are the steps to take.
- Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone “Home Screen” or “App Library.”
- Hit “Sounds & Haptics.”
- Toggle on the “Silent” mode action button.

However, if silent mode is enabled but your iPhone isn’t vibrating you check through the following steps.
- Open the “Accessibility” option on your iPhone while on the “Settings’ page.

iPhones are made to vibrate by default once the silent or mute mode is enabled. The mute or silent mode deactivates sound notifications from incoming calls, alerts and other notifications including alarms on your iPhone.
- Open your “iPhone “Settings.”
- Hit “Accessibility.”
